Munster Club Development Program – 20/9

A grand total of 3 coaches turned up for Martin Coleman, who came all the way down. Incredibly disappointing, in fact it was quite embarrassing for Martin to turn up and see the numbers. There should be 20+ coaches there. On the flip side the turnout form our under 10 hurlers was excellent.   We’re … Read more

U15 FC V Dripsey – 19/9

Shamrocks 5-4, Dripsey 4-7   Shamrocks and Dripsey will have to do it all over again after this championship clash finished all square in Shanbally on Wednesday evening last.   The game was played in an excellent spirit by 2 evenly matched teams and the game ebbed and flowed and it wasnt until referee Andy … Read more

U10 Hurling – 18/9

The u10 hurlers played Carrigaline in a hurling challenge on Tuesday evening in Shanbally.   While the lads were beaten by what was esentially Carrigalines 1st team, all 10 year olds, the idea was to provide the Shamrocks lads with more competitive action against different opposition. U8 Hurling – 8/9

The under 8 hurlers went up to Douglas on last Saturday morning and on what was a beautiful morning, played an excellent hour of hurling against the home side. On this particular occasion, Shamrocks only had 11 players (the only negative) and with Douglas having big numbers, it was decided to split Douglas into 3 … Read more

U11 Hurling V Passage – 7/9

Shamrocks and Passage played a very worthwhile challenge game in Shanbally on Friday evening last. While we wouldnt have the biggest numbers at this age group, we had 15 players togged out on the night so that was a positive. Passage won the game handy in the end; from a Shamrocks point of view, its … Read more

MFL V Aghinagh – 23/8

Aghinagh 5-18, Shamrocks 1-6   A very frustrating and humbling night for underage football in the club. Aghinagh made the trip to Shanbally and absolutely blew away the challenge of the Shamrocks Minors (a young minor team, down a couple of players on the night it must be said). Still though.   The gap between … Read more
