Shamrocks and Passage played a very worthwhile challenge game in Shanbally on Friday evening last. While we wouldnt have the biggest numbers at this age group, we had 15 players togged out on the night so that was a positive. Passage won the game handy in the end; from a Shamrocks point of view, its a learning curve and the lads will learn from playing more games, going training and most importantly of all, practising at home.
Shamrocks played their best hurling in the first half but Passage took over in the second. There were some encouraging displays throughout the field. This was a young Shamrocks team but hurling needs to prioritised more with this bunch. And it will be. There will be a couple of games for most of these lads over the next few weeks. All fixtures are in the fixtures section.
Players on duty were Robert Van Pelt, Luke O’Driscoll, Evan Seymour, Fionn Herlihy, Dylan O’Flaherty, Jody Sisk, Seán Andrews, Sean Browne, Cian O’Flaherty, Mark Sisk, Adam McGinty, Sam Geary, Shane Donega, Eoin O’Flynn.
