The under 8 hurlers went up to Douglas on last Saturday morning and on what was a beautiful morning, played an excellent hour of hurling against the home side. On this particular occasion, Shamrocks only had 11 players (the only negative) and with Douglas having big numbers, it was decided to split Douglas into 3 teams of 11 as well. Therefore Shamrocks played 3 different 20 minutes games and it was great benefit to the lads.
One could see the enjoyment the players got out of it and it was noticable that some of the players grew in confidence as the games went on. Our thanks to the parents who supported the lads and to Douglas who were invited us up and provided our lads with valuable playing time. They play Passage this coming Friday night at home at 6.30pm.
Players on duty on the morning were Seán Andrews (goalkeeper), Colin Murphy, Ferdia Hayes, Mark Sisk, Fionn Meighan, Harry Andrews, Cian O’Flaherty, Adam Maye, Eoin O’Flynn, Cian James, Sam Kramer, Shane Donegana.
