Our Club Chairman Pat McCarthy has convened an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to discuss, endorse and adopt one of three options proposed in the recently published GAA Corporate Trustee Project report. The GAA have decided that they will be using the Corporate Trust Model moving forward which will avoid the problem of changing details in the future if anything happens to existing club trustees. A brief summary Explanatory Memorandum can be accessed by opening the below linked document. This is a very important strategic change for our Adult and Juvenile Clubs and requires careful consideration by all interested in the future of Shamrocks. The Chairman and Executive Committie are requesting the attendance of all Club members, players, managers/coaches and patrons to ensure a meaningful discussion can take place with a view to reaching an agreed outcome. It is all our responsibility to secure and protect the long-term viability of the Club for the benefit of all involved both currently and in the future.
A brief but comprehensive meeting (1.5 hours max) will take on Thursday 7th October at 7.30 pm in the clubhouse. Please endeavor to attend and have an input into the future direction of your Shamrocks Hurling & Football Clubs.
