DOMs took part in an end of year hurling blitz in Erins Own on Saturday afternoon Oct 19th. Down to half a panel due to various activities (mainly Association Football), the lads, with the addition of Erins Own and Fermoy players to make 15, played four matches of twenty minutes each. In fact at one point, the Ó Murchús team was made up of 4 different clubs!
But, overall, the lads were very happy with the competition which was well run and organised by the home side. Ó Murchús lost the plate final to Mayfield but no matter – hurling was the winner all day long and all the players left with their bellies full and their participation medals. Thanks to Pa, Adrian and Hugh for taking the lads on the day, We’ll see everyone back next season.
