In recent weeks Shanbally N.S has made the headlines locally and nationally.
In an unique achievement the School’s two football teams claimed County School Shield Titles.
On a wet afternoon at Pairc Ui Rinn The Boys team were first into the arena against Berrings and after a very competitive contest, Shanbally found an extra gear in the final ten minutes to record a very merited victory.
The Girls team were next into action and from the throw in registered the very first score and led all the way through to the final whistle. Two County Schools Shields Titles in one day was a phenomenal achievement for these boys and Girls. Well done and many congratulations to all concerned including the Coaches and Trainers who laid the foundations for victory.
