The Junior A Footballers came out on the right side of the battle against Ballinhassig last night, in what was a knockout Championship encounter🎉

After a nervy start the lads showed incredible resilience, coming back from 2pts down to go into halftime with a commanding 0-08 to 0-04 lead.

They played some fantastic stuff, with hard running and great scores that really put the opposition on the back foot.
The second half was a true test of character. Playing against the wind, the team dug deep and battled for every ball. While we gave away a few frees, some crucial scores in the closing minutes gave us a 4pt cushion. The defense held strong under intense pressure, and we saw out a hard-fought victory in what was a great win for this youthful Shamrocks team☘️

Final score: Shamrocks 0-11, Ballinhassig 0-09

They will play Carrigaline in the Football Championship semi-final the weekend of September 27th/28th – details to follow.
