A great day for our U14 hurlers yesterday, as they beat Passage in the double-up final of both their hurling league & championship🎉

Shamrocks started the brighter of the two and got a few early scores. Passage responded, but 2 goals from Matthew O’Neill and Charlie Fitzgerald left us 5 points up at half-time.

Passage came back strong, and if it wasn’t for Seanan Quinn in goal making some unbelievable saves, the result could have been different. After the early pressure Shamrocks stormed ahead with 2 goals from Ryan Collins, and built up a substantial lead. Passage slowly started chipping away, eventually managing to get 1 point ahead – but this team never gives in, and managed another goal from Charlie O’Toole, and one final point to lead by 3.

When the final whistle went Shamrocks were champions on a scoreline of 6-09 to 4-12. The loyal Shamrock supporters celebrated as the cup was raised. Well done to every player on the panel who played their part. This was a real team effort.

Well done everyone, we look forward now to the football championship final, which could cap off an unforgettable year for this team
