JAHL V Ballygarvan – 23/3

Shamrocks Juniors A Hurlers got their league off to a winning start against Ballygarvan at a wind swept Shanbally with scores hard to come by. Playing against the breeze in the first half, Shamrocks led by one point on 29 minutes but conceded 1-1 in the final minutes of the half. 0-4 to 1-4 at the short whistle.

Shamrocks started the second half with intent and were rewarded with a goal by Josh Bartlett. This young Shamrocks team with 8 of the starting 15 under 19 years of age fought hard and outscored Ballygarvan 1-4 to 0-2 in the second half winning on a scoreline of 1-8 to 1-6 in unfavourable hurling conditions. This group are training hard and are gathering momentum. Well done on a good win
