Carrigaline 2-18, Shamrocks 1-10

Defeat in the opening league game played in Carrigaline. The young team put up a brave performance; they were level at halftime but Carrigaline took over in the second half and ran out comfortable winners.

The management were reasonably happy after the game considering all that this team have faced this off-season. They will only get better with players who want to play for the green jersey.
