U16 FL V Ballinora – 2/7

Ballinora 4-15, Shamrocks 3-12

Hard luck to the U16 footballers who played their first game in the second half of the season in Ballinora on Wednesday evening, they lost our by 4-15 to 3-12 in a brilliant game of football.

Ballinora dominated the first half and had a very healthy lead at HT, 3-8 to 1-3. A few words at half time produced an inspired second half transformation from Shamrocks who thundered into the game. Then Seamus O’Mahony at center back got a belt, had to go off and this totally burst the Shamrocks momentum – Ballinora ran out winners but not after a mighty Shamrocks effort.
