Diarmuid Ó Murchus 2-19, Ballincollig (b) 2-6
In Camden, this game was played in warm temperatures with plenty of close action especially in the first half. At that point, Ó Murchús led by only a point after having led by 7 points coming up to HT but Ballincolligs second team (a strong selection) scored 2 quick goals just before HT and it was game on.
The cecond half was much more accomplished from Ó Murchús but it was only in the last quarter that they pulled away with a quickfire 2 goals and 7 points to run out winners in the end by 13 points.
This is the first game of four in the Football Championshp round robin so off to a good start.
