The U16 footballers who beat Ballincollig (2) in Shanbally on Wednesday evening.
It took a while for the team to get going in this one but once they did, they showed what a fine team they can be with some lovely scores. They led at HT by 2-9 to 1-4 following goals from Donal Herlihy (from the very first attach of the game straight up the middle) and Jason O’Driscoll. Luke Jordan was also in fine form in that half before he retired early.
They pulled away in the second half with the subs making a fine contribution, in particular Mark Murphy with a fine 3rd goal to seal trhe win a long ways out. Andrew Phillips was also on fire, popping up in attack time and again from wing back
