U15 Féile Football Qualifiers – 6/5

Shamrocks V Ballygarvan and Owen Gaels

The U15 Footballers have qualified for the finals of the Féile Football (Group 6) in Cork which will be held at the end of June. They topped their group in Ballygarvan on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon.

The scores in the two 15 minute a side games were –
Game 1: Shamrocks 5-3, Ballygarvan 1-2

Game 2 – Shamocks 4-2, Owen Gaels 2-4

These were two very contrasting games; Shamrocks they built up a handy lead against Ballygarvan early on by going for goals and were comfortable winners in the end.

The second game was much tougher indeed with both teams getting six scors each but the ability of the Shamrocks main men to link up and score vital goals at important times enabled them to go through as group winners after a close 30 minutes for football.
