Ó Murchús 2-12, Ballygarvan 3-6
Well done to the Minor Hurlers of Ó Murchús who had a close fought victory over neighbours Ballygarvan in Shanbally on Wednesday evening.
It was close all through with a bit of needle in the game with a couple of flashpoints. Ballygarvan led by a point at HT, 1-8 to 1-7, the Ó Murchús goal from Cian Lynch. That git them back into the game after Ballygarvan had opened up a 4 point lead.
Ballygarvan opened up another 4 point lead straight after the HT whistle with a goal. There was only 1 point scored between the 2 teams over the next 20 minutes as both teams went at it.
O’Murchús finally wore down Ballygarvan with a quick fire 1-3 in the space of 3 minutes, the goal courtesy if Ruairc Sisk and Ó Murchús held on for the all important win.
