Santa visits #FUN Academy

A very special traveller all the way from the North Pole paid a visit to the last #FUN Academy of 2023 on Friday night in the Sports Hall in the Marine College in Ringaskiddy.

Yes, the man himself Santa Claus took time out from his busy schedule getting ready for Christmas to pay a visit to the boys who were in the midst of hurling training/Fun on Friday night. He was mistaken for one of the three Wise Men as he came bearing gifts for all the players – a selection box – on this the last Friday night of action in the club this year.

After nearly having his “real” beard torn off, he went on his merry way back to Lapland and hopefully all the players will be GOOD over the next three weeks and he might pay them a secret visit again, possibly with a new hurley, helmet, sliotar, football or whatever other item is required to play Gaelic Games.

The Academy committee would like to thank Santa for paying the visit and would expecially like to thank all our young wonderful players, our dedicated coaches, our administrattion staff led by Dee and our wonderful parents for all their support throughout the year. It would not have been possible without you.

We will take a break now until Friday February 2nd when we will have another two months indoors again in the superb Sports Hall in the Marine College.
