A sponsored Walk/Run took place on Bank holiday Monday for the Clubs National Schools Coaching Program 2023/2024.
It was great to see members from all sections of the club – Adult (led by Chairperson Socket), underage boys (led by Vice Chair Colm Cosgrove) and the Ladies Football (led by Chairperson Aidan McGrath).
Members, young, playing and old from across the club took part – some ran, others walked.
We thank the main organisres Socket and Lisa for their efforst, all our participanst especuially those who brought food and made sure everyone was fed and watered as they finished up and to Gemma, Hannah and Dee who orgainised the kithen and had the defibrilator on standby afterwards for some of our older “retired” participants!
Great also to see two of our school principals Mr David Nolan (Shanbally National School Parents Association) and Mr John Herlihy (Ringaskiddy NS) taking part. Also taking part was our local GDC Mick Daly who was trying to blow away his disappointment after Nemo Rangers losing the Co Final the day before. Thanks to Mick for supporting
All funds raised goes to the Coaching Fund for our Program which enteres a new era this year with the use of the Sports Hall in the NMCI. The indoor starts on November 10th and will run on Fridays throughout the Winter – this aint free so all funds are much appreciated.
