DÓMs U17 HC V Passage – 30/8

Ó Murchús 4-13. Passage 1-14

Well done to the U17 hurlers of Diarmuid Ó Murchús who beat Passage in Shanbally on Wednesday evening in the championship to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Passage threw everything at the DÓM lads but they kept responding every time.

After an even enough first half after which Ó Murchús led by 3 points, Passage then went ahead with 20 minutes left in a great game of hurling. But once again, the Ó Murchús lads finished strong just like in other games.

David Herlihy was solid in goal, Kieran May and Nigel Kearney O Sullivan did solid marking jobs while up front Cian Lynch was involved in all the goals (1-3 for Cian).

Fionn Mansfield 1-3, Senan Buckley 1-0, Joey Middleton 1-0, Ruairc Sisk 0-2, Eoghan O Sullivan 0-1 and Sam Foy 0-1 got the scores.

But the main man on Wednesday night was Josh Bartlett (0-3) who was excellent at centre forward and caught huge ball and led the line superbly.

Well done to them all and to management on a great win.
