U15 HC V Passage – 31/7

Passage 4-21, Shamrocks 2-7

The u15 hurlers were well beaten by Passage on Monday evening in round 3 of the championship.

While Shamrocks were down a few due to hols & injuries (14 players), they were up against a very slick and skilfull Passage team who had some excellent sticksmen in their ranks, in particular in the forward division and they scored from all angles and distances. They scored early and often. Shamrocks battled hard against the strong breeze and in the first half but were well behind at HT, Passage 2-12 to 1-4 ahead and it could easily have been more. Seamus O’Mahony came up the field for the Shamrocks goal from play with Calum O’Neill and Luke Jordan with the points.

Unfortunately, the Shamrocks forwards struggled to make any headway whatsoever against the Passage backs and the game petered out i the second half.

Shamrocks still have 2 more group games to play and are well in with a shout still of qualifying for a semi or a final.
