Shamrocks 3-9, Courcey Rovers 2-9
Shamrocks played with a strong wind in the first half and settled well but scores were still hard to come by. Courceys were hard in their tackling but Shamrocks battled away and picked of some scores. The most important being a goal just on the stroke of half time giving them a 3-9 to 1-3 advantage.
Shamrocks were really up against it in the second half but each and every one of the lads gave there all and held out for a 1 goal difference at the end. That’s the final game for this special bunch of players who last year completed a Mid Cork Div 2 League hurling and football double.
This year the aim was to be competitive in Div 1 and again they finish the season with a trophy in both codes, Mid Cork Div 1 football league winners and Div 1 hurling championship shield winners.
