Shamrocks 1-16, Kinsale 4-7
Another draw for the under 14 hurlers on Wednesday evening at a sunsplashed Shanbally. This was a close affair all the way through. Shamrocks led by 0-9 to 1-4 at halftime and had their work cut out to get a result against a good Kinsale team.
Kinsale were the better team in the third quarter and scored goals to get themselves 2 points ahead and looked good. Then it was Shamrocks turn to respond and they chipped away at the points and led by 1-16 to 3-6 with less then 5 minutes to go. However, Kinsale dug deep themselves and scored an unanswered 1-1 to share the points which effectively knocks Shamrocks out of a possible crack at qualifying for the league final.
