Shamrocks 5-10, Na Piarsaigh 0-5
Shamrocks turned in their best display of the year so far and captured the D1 league on Friday evening in Shanbally. They had too much for Na Piarsaigh on the night with a relentless display of football, all the way from the goalkeeper right through the field and to the subs who played their part. Shamrocks attacked early and often and were totally in control at HT when they led by 4-5 to 0-1.
They continued their dominance in the second half and introduced all the subs so players got plenty of game time.
This win sets them up for further competitions later on in the year. For now, we salute the players, their supportive parents and their four coaches/mentors Andrew, Dools, Brendan and Jason.
The video below shows the Shamrocks captain Donal Herlihy accepting the League Trophy from Rebel Óg on behalf of the team.
