Ó Murchús 1-16, Passage 2-9
Ó Murchús got their league off to a winning start in Passage on Saturday afternoon. They were the better team throughout but Passage made them work hard for the win. An early goal from Cian Lynch settled Ó Murchus and further points from Ruairc Sisk, Lynch, Sam Foy, Robert Barrett and Barry O’Mahony who had a fine game at centre back enabled DÓMs to lead at HT by 1-8 to 1-2.
Passage pushed hard in the second half and only for a fine save from David Herlihy late on they culd have been much closer. Further points from Lynch. Sisk, O’Mahony, Conor Mansfield, Senan Buckley and the winning score from Cathal O’Donovan enabled Ó Murchus to pick up the win.
