Robert Andrews RIP.
The funeral of Robert Andrews took place on Friday last at Rocky Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy.
The mourners were led by his brother Don along with other relatives, work colleagues and Officers and Members of the Shamrock Club. Some very touching parting tributes were rendered as he completed his final journey through the village of his ancestors.
His casket, draped in the Shamrock colours made its journey passing the ancestral homes of his mother Lydia Johnson and father George Andrews. In a final parting gesture, water from the ancient well near the old Ringaskiddy School, Tobar Lice, was sprinkled on his casket.
His spirit is free now just like the seagulls drifting and gliding o’er the Harbour, Loughbeg. Loughmor and dear old Gobby Strand.
