Donal Brady R.I.P. 16/10/2022
On Sunday 16th last the sad news filtered through that Donal had been taken to his external resting place. A lifelong member of the Club who played hurling at both Junior and Intermediate levels. Donal won a South East Junior Hurling Championship medal in 1963. His valued contributions to the Club and community extended beyond his playing days to being a Junior Team Selector, fundraising activities, the most recent Church of The Immaculate Heart of Mary church renovation project in Shanbally and the annual Christmas Tree/lights provision. He was conferred as an Honorary Vice-President of the Club in recognition of his many years loyal service. His playful mischievous character along with a friendly happy manner attracted a large friendship cohort across all age groups. His larger-than-life presence and storytelling ability will be sorely missed by all who were lucky to have had the pleasure of his company.
