Shamrocks made to long journey to Ahiohill on Thursday to take on the combined teams of Ballinascarty and St. Oliver Plunketts. In atrocious wet conditions both teams struggled to put scores on the board.
At half time our very young team were trailing 2-05 to 0-03 after playing into the wind and rain. We regrouped and played some lovely hurling in the second half and put over some lovely points to eat away at Owen Gaels lead. Two late points by the home team sealed their victory 2-08 to 0-07.
