Shamrocks 6-14, Aghabullogie 0-5
Shamrocks travelled to Coachford to take on the locals in the u15 football league. Conditions were testing for both teams with a very strong wind and heavy showers the order of the evening.
Shamrocks played with the wind in the first half and kicked over some fine points from play and frees. A goal just before half time left them leading 1-08 to 0-01. Against the wind in the second half, Shamrocks moved their half backs more into defence and this proved successful as we broke up the Aghabullogue play and soon had 1-02 on scoreboard. A great defensive display kept their opponents at bay and Shamrocks added two more goals late on. A great team display overall.
