Shamrocks 1-16, Crosshaven 0-7
Shamrocks Junior B hurlers had a good win over Crosshaven on Sunday at Shanbally. This was the first time enterung a junior B hurling team in championship in a good few years and it was nice to get the win; the team as you might expect featured both the young and the old. The 18 players togged out played some nice hurling at times and just had that little bit too much for Crosshaven.
Shamroks led 0-9 to 0-4 at HT and a superb goal from Adam McSweeney 10 minutes into the second half sealed the win. Dylan O’Flaherty, Gary Ronayne, James Lynam and Todds added on points as well. Well done to the players and management. Shamrocks play Ballymartle next.
