Ballygarvan 7-12, Shamrocks 1-8
The U15 hurlers played their hearts out before giving way to a slick Ballygarvan team on Saturday. They competed manfully with Ballygarvan up until after the 2nd water break after which Ballygarvan scored 4 quick goals to run out easy winners, but only after a great battle. The Shamrocks lads have been training well over the past 2 months and it finally came together in a match today – there was some great hurling played by the Shamrocks lads. Cian Lynch did most of the scoring with Luke Jordan scoring a great goal. At half time, Ballygarvan led 1-7 to 0-6 after a high standard game. Shamrocks were well in the game midway through the second half until that Ballygarvan scoring burst led by the spine of their team who really stepped it up.
The Shamrocks lads can take a lot, a lot of positives from the game.
