Ballinhassig 2-12, Ó Murchús 4-3
Ballinhassig deserved the win in the end. The game was played in very wet conditions in Ballinhassig and while Ó Murchús they played well at times but found scores hard to come by, unlike the home team who were much more efficient in front of the goals. At HT the home side led 1-6 to 1-2 but they scored 1-2 straight after the restart to open up a 10 point cushion. In fairness to the Ó Murchús boys, they continued to play football and a a couple of late goals made it an exciting finish – However, Ballinhassig held on for a deserved win. There is definitely scope to do well further on those year. Next game verses Sliabh Rua in 2 weeks
