Grenagh 4-10, Diarmuid Ó Murchús 1-9
A second loss in a row but a much better turnout and performance. Grenagh were a good footballing side and deserved their win but the Ó Murchús lads played their part in a fine game of football that was played on two pitches in Crosshaven!
Grenagh had an early goal from their dangerous full forward line and despite a reply from Harry Andrews (who did most of the scoring), Grenagh pushed on before half time and led 3-4 to 1-2 and had a nice cushion as the teams changed pitches.
The concession of an own goal didnt help Ó Murchus on the scoreboard but they finished strong with a few nice points from play. An encouraging performance and a step in the right direction from the lads in what is a learning curve with everyone with this new team.
