St. Vincent’s 8-13, Shamrocks 2-17
Hard to believe from the score line that Shamrocks had a 2 point lead coming up to half-time! Playing well against the wind, we took most of our opportunities and had the home side on the back foot. A couple of defensive slips before half-time meant we went in 2 points down but very much in the game.
The old adage that the wind wins no game came back to haunt us in the 2nd half. Shamrocks conceded 2 quick goals and never recovered. That said, they scored points at will and 2-17 will win most games.
