On Sunday evening, 19th of May, Shamrocks u12 hurlers faced up to a young bunch of Cloughduv hurlers on what was a fine evening for hurling. Shamrocks opted to play 15 a-side and produced a great performance in all areas of the field. Two goals in the first half from Evan Browne and Barry O’ Mahony ensured that Shamrocks were in the driving seat. Some quality point taking from Luke Jordan, Cian Lynch and Barry O’ Mahony kept the score board ticking over nicely and Shamrocks led by 2-06 to no score at half-time.
Following half-time the second half scoring spree continued as the Shamrocks backs and mid fielders kept delivering quality supply to the forwards. Goals from Dónal Herlihy, Cian lynch, Barry O’Mahony and Luke Jordan making life very difficult for Cloughduv. However, the did keep on hurling and opened their account mid way through the half with a fine point.
