Diarmuid Ó Murchús 6-8, Mayfield 0-1
A comfortable win for DÓMs in a wet and very windy Shanbally on Saturday evening. Ó Murchús had the bare minimum of players on this occasion but what was out there proved too good for Mayfield. Ó Murchús played with the aid of the very strong wind in the first half and were soon into their stride, hitting 2 early goals and adding some points to open up a nice lead. They continued to pile on the scores and had a healthy wind assisted lead at HT, 5-5 to 0-0.
The scoring naturally wasn’t as regular in the second half but Ó Murchús did more then enough to complete the win, adding on 1-3 as against Mayfields 0-1. That’s now two wins from two at the seasons start.
