Shamrocks 1-11, Lee Gaels 1-3
This was an important game for us as we tried to get back to winning ways. Both teams started on the back foot but we slowly found our shooting boots and scored five unanswered points to settle us down. A goal soon followed and this gave us the confidence to continue attacking before the short whistle. Some lively work by our half back line and midfielders left out forwards the task of adding another six points to leave us leading at half time by 1-11 to 0-00. It was a totally different story in the second half as Lee Gaels attacked us from the first ball. They dominated possession and kicked over some fine points from frees. Half way through they scored a goal to get them back in the game. We defended well and kept them at bay as we ran out winners on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-03.
