Shamrocks 4-6, Cill na Martra 4-5
Shamrocks won a thrilling game against the visitors to Shanbally on Saturday morning. The Shamrocks lads were behind for the entire first half but reduced the gap to a point by the break, having been 1-4 to 0-2 behind. They played up the hill in that half and did well to be within a point after an important goal from Evan Browne.
The second half was an excting affair with each team sharing the lead on two occasions. Shamrocks got the boost they needed after half time scoring 2-1 to move ahead for the first time. However, Cill na Martra went down the other end and scored 3-1 in the space of 10 minutes to move back into a goal lead. Shamrocks never gave up and scored a late 1-1 to take the victory by a single point. Well done to all the players and thanks to the magnificent support from the parents and siblings.
