Shamrocks 4-9, St Vincents 1-5
The U12s played their first game of the season in Shanbally against St. Vincents. A lot of training was had over the winter months in the National Maritime College of Ireland with this age group. The lads started well and soon found the range as some nice points were scored from play. A goal midway through the half was followed by another just before half time leaving us ahead on a scoreline of 2-03 to 0-03 at half time. We started to play the better football in the second half and scored another 2-03 before St. Vincents got the final few scores to leave us victorious on a scoreline of 4-06 to 1-05 at the final whistle. It’s great to see a large turnout of both players and parents on the night. Next up it’s away to Whites Cross next Tuesday 3rd April at 6.45pm.
