U14 Co FC Quarter Final V Carraig na bhFear – 12/11

Shamrocks are into the semi final of the B2 Football Championship after this deserved win over Carraig na bhFear in Crosshaven on Sunday afternoon. The game proved a tough one but Shamrocks always led and were comfortable enough in the end.

 

Shamrocks elected to play with the strong breeze in the first half and they went in leading 0-10 to 0-1 at HT, after dominating possession and getting some scores from Cian O’Flaherty, Mark Sisk, Derry Howard, Shane Darcy and Eoin O’Flynn. Carraig na bhFear werent going to lie down without a fight and made life difficult for Shamrocks in the second half; they scored 0-2 without reply before adding a goal to leave 4 points between the teams after 10 minutes of the second half.; however, Cian O’Flaherty scored a viatl goal almost sraight away and with the wind having eased a bit, added another 1-1 before Carraig na bhFear added a furtehr goal. However, Shamrocks held on for a merited win. Well done to all the players on a great performance.
