Shamrocks 0-13, Kilbrittain 1-9
Shamrocks qualified for the B2 West 2 final with this exciting 1 point win over the home side on Saturday evening. Both teams were evenly matched throughout but Shamrocks showed great character by finishing the stronger when facing a 3 point deficit with 10 minutes left.
Shamrocks got the better of the first 20 minutes and led 0-6 to 0-1 at that point; however, the home side got the final 4 scores of the half to leave the HT score 0-6 to 0-5 in favour of Shamrocks. Shamrocks had a battle on their hands.
Kilbrittain slowly started to get on top in the 3rd quarter and a run of 1-2 without reply sent them into a 3 point lead. Shamrocks made a few switches at this point and their shape improved as a result. Shamrocks scored a point, Kilbrittain replied but Shamrocks finished with the final 4 points of the game, the last from a close in free, to qualify for the final against Tracton. Well done to the players who dug deep and thanks to the great travelling support.
