Bishopstown GAA hosted the latest U8 Football blitz this morning. We entered one team and had 11 players togged out. We played Crosshaven, Douglas & Ballincollig and had scores been kept, we would have won all games comfortably.
One parent remarked to me how much the boys has grown since the start of the blitz season. We have big, strong and fit players at the age group now. Our technical skills – picking, catching, blocking, tackling – have improved immeasurably since the start of the season.
We have 5 blitzes to go – between hurling and football – and hopefully we will see these out with full squads.
