Our first blitz following the summer break took us to Togher, home of the famed St. Finbarr’s H&F Club on Saturday morning.Due to holiday commitments, we were short a number of our regular lads and travelled with six players. This did not prove to be a barrier as the 6 lads tore into the action from the first whistle and won all their games.
We played Youghal, Courcey Rovers and our near neighbours, Carrigaline. The lads that have stuck with us for the year to date have improved beyond recognition, particularly the younger lads. Well done to all.
Thanks to Andrew O’Neill, who once again stepped into the breech as our “young referee”!!No blitz this coming Saturday but we will be kept going from first Saturday in September to end of October between Hurling & Football blitzes.
