Crosshaven 7-5 Shamrocks 4-4
Shamrocks hosted this very enjoyable game on the back pitch on Tuesday evening. Crosshaven were a much stronger team physically and this came to the fore towards the end when our lads tired. W
Shamrocks played down the hill in the first half. We started slowly but came right into it before half time to lead by a goal at the break. Crosshaven hit us for 3 quick goals on the resumption and were rarely troubled afterwards. To be fair, our lads kept plugging away and never gave up. Crosshaven fully merited their victory and our congratulations to them.
Thanks to John Jordan for reffing the match – no incident to report!!
We has great support again tonight and thank you to all. We have a nice mixture of younger and older lads and they are coming on well. Practice at home is the key and we would ask all the lads to keep this up. This was our first hurling loss of the year and hopefully we will learn from it.
Best wishes to our John Kerins squad who will grace Pairc Ui Rinn next Saturday.
