Bishopstown GAA kindly hosted this morning’s u8 Hurling Blitz.
Again, huge numbers turned up and great credit is due to both Colm Crowley and Paudie O’Brien who ran the blitz on behalf of Rebel Og.
We had 10 players togged out including 2 debutants – brothers Diarmuid & Gearoid Cotter – who I’m reliably informed thoroughly enjoyed their morning.
Shamrocks played St. Finbarr’s, Bishopstown & Douglas and remained unbeaten for the morning. A number of the opposing coaches complimented our lads on their skill and physicality – very impressive!
As if three games weren’t enough, four players went to to Belgooly straight away to tog out for the u10’s!! Congratulations to all and to our loyal supporters who cheered the boys on all morning. We probably won’t have a blitz next Saturday due to Communion in Shanbally but a final decision won’t be made until later in the week.
Panel – Donal Herlihy, Calum O’Neill, James Keane, Shane O’Flynn, Billy Hanna, Ryan Doolan, Patrick Keane, Calum Fitzgerald, Diarmuid Cotter, Gearóid Cotter.
