Shamrocks 8-5, Tracton 5-3
We welcomed the U10 boys from Minane Bridge and its surrounds to The Track last Thursday evening. We had a full turn out of boys which was fantastic! It was heartening to see our lads take on and beat one of the traditional South East Hurling clubs in what was a very good contest.
An ex Tracton player of my acquaintance remarked at the skill levels of a number of our players which was quite flattering! This team has come on leaps and bounds under the guidance of Shane O’Donovan and John Twomey (Ringaskiddy) and they are to be commended for their efforts. We had the luxury of finishing the game with a number of our older players on the bench; leaving the younger lads to fend for themselves!
And a fine job they did!
As usual, a big crowd turned up from both sides and they created a wonderful atmosphere for what was for some of the lads their first evening fixture. Thank you one and all!
