Shamrocks 2-10 Tracton 0 -6
The Junior Footballers, despite tight numbers, made their visit to Minane Bridge a fruitful one and collected another brace of valuable league points.
For the second week in succession we put up a winning score of 2-10 and of course the goals were vital in securing victory long before the final whistle.
The opening half was poor overall and despite wind advantage Shamrocks led 0-6 to 0-3 at half-time. A few telling words from the Mentors and a more positive approach saw our lads play with real conviction in the second half. They were rewarded and outscored Tracton 2-4 to 0-3 despite facing a strong breeze. Well done to all on duty.
