Ballymartle 3-9, Shamrocks 1-7
Ballymartle’s strong second half display won them their second league victory of the new season, a match played in Shanballys second pitch. The weather was typical of February and Shamrocks played with the aid of the hill in the first half and led 1-6 to 1-2 at halftime, with Joe Shanahan, Philip Brady and Cannice Caffrey amoung others on the scoresheet.
Shamrocks got a perfect start to the second half when Seán Courtney kicked over a great score; however, this was to be their last score and Ballymartle finished the last 25 minutes the stronger to record a deserved win.
