Long Puc 2017

 

The annual long puc was held on News Years Day from the roundabout in Shanbally to the FBI in Ringaskiddy. A large number of competitors both young and old, male & female took part this year for the bragging rights for 2017. 

The following are a list of winners and runners up:

 

 

U15s. 1st Sean Andrews 27 shots. 2nd Harry Andrews 28 shots.

 

 

Minor. 1st Ruari Mehigan 27 shots. 2nd James Lynam 30 shots

 

 

Over 40s. 1st Darragh Collins 25 shots, 2nd Keith Roche 27 shots after a play off with Sammy O Driscoll & Alan Geary.

 

 

Over 50s. 1st Michael Kidney 30 shots, 2nd Cathal Collins 30 shots. This was after a three way playoff with Michael Kidney, Cathal Collins & Declan O’Neill

 

 

Camogie. 1st Clara O Grady 31 shots, 2nd Laura McCarthy 31 shots after a play off between Laura & Clara.

 

 

Senior Mens. 1st Alan McCarthy 22 shots, 2nd Seanán Collins 23 shots after a playoff with Barry Mulqueen.

 

 

The chairman Pat McCarthy presented the trophies to all of the Winners and Runners Up. He thanked everyone who took part on the day. He also paid thanks to all who supported the club throughout the season especially those who buy the weekly lotto tickets, Xmas draw, County Board draw etc. He paid special thanks to Sarah O’Grady and the staff of the Ferry Boat Inn for their fantastic support, generosity and hospitality throughout the year.
