The lads stepped up another grade on Saturday morning when we were pitted with Bride Rovers, Millstreet and the hosts, Whitechurch in the final u10 hurling matches of a great season.
The heavy pitch conditions and strong wind made it very difficult to play our usual high standard hurling. The first game against Whitechurch was very low scoring and it was the host team who prevailed at the end on a scoreline of 1-03 to 0-02. The next game had us up against a much bigger and physical Milstreet team. We found it very difficult to find our range. The lads to their credit kept going to the end and never gave up. We lost out on a scoreline of 3-04 to 1-03. We fielded some of our U8 players and all the players got plenty of game time.
We travel to Kilbrittan next Saturday for the last football matches of the season. As usual thanks again to the ever reliable parents for the transport provided. The panel on duty were Cathal O’Donovan, Harry O’Leary, Barry O’Mahony, Euan Clarke, Josh Bartlett, Sam Foy, Kieran Maye, Darragh McCormick, Zach Coughlan,D avid Taggart, Cian Lynch, Shane O’Mahony, Shane O’Flynn, Seamus O’Mahony, Luke Jordan.
