U10 FL Blitz – 8/10

Shamrocks travelled to kilbrittan to compete in the last U10 football matches for the season. They were drawn against Coursey Rovers in the first game and this proved to be a tough assignment. Courseys were a much bigger and physical team to us and this was the telling factor as they beat us by 5 points. All the panel played and accounted very well for themselves.

The 3rd & 4th place play off had us up against Sliabh Rua. This turned out to be a very evenly contest and only a kick of a ball separated the two teams in the end with Shamrocks winning on a scoreline of 1-09 to 2-03. The new format that was adapted by the board this year for the U10 hurling and football proved to be a great success.

Special thanks again to all the parents and guardians who without fail supported this group all season. Transport was provided by the parents. Great credit must also go to the group of players who will have a great future going forward if we can all stick together. The selection committee consisted of Andrew O Grady, Mark Hitchmough, Sean Kidney and Shane O Donovan. The time and effort they put in throughout the season is a credit to them. The club would like to thank them for this commitment.
