Shamrocks traveled to play Lee Gaels in Inniscara on Friday evening for their last U10 hurling game of the year. This turned out to be a very entertaining game with both sides giving it their all. Lee Gaels opened the scoring with two quick fire goals that rattled the Shamrocks defense. Some quick adjustments were made and the lads soon settled down to play some excellent hurling. Some good points were scored from frees and also then just before the break we got two well deserved goals after some great pressure and build up play. This seem to settle us down and after the break we continued to play some lovely hurling. We ran out deserved winners in the end on a scoreline of 4-05 to 2-02.
Shamrocks had sixteen players on duty with another few missing which will give us great hope for the U12/U14 competitions in a few seasons time. Special thanks must go to the parents who were on the road at 5pm to ensure everyone got there on time. We finish our U10 season next Sunday 25th September at 10.30 am with a three team tournament in Kinsale against the home team and Kilbrittan. A full report of the U10 playing season will follow after them games
